The KTC approach to drywall
Drywall is the trade the company was built on. Our crews live on the wall — from board stocking through the final coat — and treat every joint like a lighting inspection is walking behind them.
We install 1/2", 5/8", Type X, moisture-resistant and impact-resistant board on residential remodels as well as office, retail, medical and multifamily projects. Where the spec or design calls for Level 5, we skim coat, check the wall under light and touch up until it reads flat.
How a drywall job runs.
Same rhythm on a 1,500 sq ft suite as on a full floor — because consistency is what protects the schedule.
We measure, review plans and confirm assemblies, then issue a line-itemed written proposal.
Board, corner bead, mud and fasteners staged to keep the crew productive and the site clean.
Layout snapped, board hung tight to framing, fastened to spec — screws set, not spun.
Three-coat system minimum. Level 5 gets a skim coat and a light inspection before sign-off.
Walk the space with the owner, GC or PM. Fix flags, then broom-clean turnover.

Do you handle Level 5 finish?+
Yes — skim-coated and inspected under light. Common on lobbies, medical, hospitality and any wall in raking light.
Do you take residential drywall work?+
Yes. Remodels, additions, garage conversions, patch and texture matching, and full hang-and-finish on homes.
Can you match existing texture for repairs?+
Yes. Orange peel, knockdown, smooth, sand swirl and specialty textures — we sample and match before rolling the full patch.
